A PURSE FOR MY SISTER SHARON!

This is a purse I made for my Sister Sharon. It features a picture of our parents on the boardwalk in New York City. My father was drafted during WWII and my mother traveled to NYC to be with him there. She came back to Kentucky to actually give birth and then went back with the new baby. I always loved my mother's stories of adjusting to life in the big city after having been a country farmer in Kentucky all her life. What a big dramatic change in her life that move must have been! I just love this photograph of the two of them and I have used it a lot. Even thought of having a rubber stamp made of it. If anyone has ever done this, please let me know what you thought about the finished product.

Welcome Trish!!! I'm so glad you emailed me!!! Oh my gosh the purses are swesome!!! I just pulled out my rose covered teapot after I put the holiday decs away and thought of you!!Gosh I'm thinkimg one day I'll have to have you make me a rose purse! As for pictures I do mine a really strange way. i post mine in reverse order before I write. I put what I want last then end with what I want first. This has been my weird routine and never knew if it was right but hey works for me! Will add you to my list of sites, keep in touch! Lori

Great, I love this purse! Although, my favorite is still the one you did for me with the same background and my grandmothers on each side. I will try to get you a picture. Pat
